"Our budget will run a deficit that will be small and short term."--George W. Bush 2002

Well I'm sure this will be shrugged off by Republican apologists as just the continuing effects of 9/11 (Reports show the total 9/11 bill to be only 7 billion dollars) and wars on two fronts (one actually necessary!).
They don't mention the grossly underreported multi-trillion dollar tax cuts given now FOUR times to the economic upper crust, defecit spending and tax cuts DURING a war. Republicans again this week raised the debt ceiling 800 billion (it's just so very strange they didn't mention any of this BEFORE the election).

Johnny Action Space Punk, is it true we can cut taxes during a war, give the rich all the tax cuts, spend money like Arab teenagers and STILL have a great economy?
Johnny says, let's ask the experts;

The Congressional Budget Office estimates that President Bush's proposed 2005 budget would nearly double our current debt to about $14.5 trillion by 2014.
Bill Clinton left office with a 127 billion dollar SURPLUS (MORE than enough to cover the horrors of 9/11 but then again, remember, Republicans tell us if you let Democrats run the economy, they'll ruin it).
Yes, citizens, we HAVE heard of this economic plan before and it was called 'Voodoo Economics" back then in 1980. You wanna know who called it that? George H.W. Bush, 41st President and father of the current President...
